Omroep Venlo meets Ultimate Frisbee in Venlo
A short Omroep Venlo report about FG de Scheive Schièf and the sport Ultimate Frisbee.

FG de Scheive Schièf welcomed a visit from Omroep Venlo this week. In an interview we introduced ourselves to Venlo residents and explained our sport: Ultimate Frisbee.
Although many people know a frisbee from the beach, the park or camping, Ultimate Frisbee is a full team sport played by millions around the world. The sport has been growing in the Netherlands for years, and here in Venlo we want to show how fun, accessible and sporting Ultimate can be.
During the interview we explained the basics: two teams try to move a disc into the opponent's endzone by passing accurately and working together. What makes Ultimate special is that it is played without referees; players are responsible for following rules and resolving situations together. Respect, fairness and sportsmanship are central.
At FG de Scheive Schièf we aim to put Ultimate Frisbee on the map in Venlo. Everyone from about 14 years old is welcome to try the sport, regardless of experience. At our trainings new players learn throwing, catching and teamwork, while experienced players can develop towards competition.
We're grateful Omroep Venlo gave attention to our young club. We hope it inspires more people to visit a training and discover why we are so excited about Ultimate Frisbee.
